Mediocrity

A couple of definitions of mediocre:
  • of only ordinary or moderate quality; neither good nor bad; barely adequate
  • rather poor or inferior

The other day, I was thinking about this particular project at work. It occurred to me that it wouldn't be taking this long if it wasn't being funded by other peoples (tax) money. And that led me to how we can become mediocre. And that led me to how I am often, only medicore.

Reminded me of one of the Four Agreements, Always Do Your Best. Even as I sit here right now, doing my best, in this case, to create a Blog Post that is at least good or bad, may I NOT be mediocre! Funny word.
I'm looking for opportunities today to do and be my best. Whether or not it may seem that I am sorrounded by it, may I refuse to not be mediocre in anyway today.

Some notes from the Kitchen

First of all, I am looking for a new job, preferably one that has this kind of hat as part of the uniform

Secondly, an excerpt from Eckhart Tolle's A New Earth: page 75: According to the Journal of the American Medical Association, medical treatment is the third-leading cause of death after heart disease and cancer in the United States.

Third, it occurred to me on my walk the other day, you're only as fat as you feel.
